Battle and Crowhurst LibDems launched their District Council Election Campaign on Saturday at a packed lunch at Catsfield Village Hall. Battle's sitting LibDem District Councillors Kevin Dixon and Kathryn Field were joined by John Kemp, who will fight to regain the Crowhurst and Catsfield Ward.
Guest speaker for the event was Cllr David Tutt, LibDem Leader of Eastbourne Borough Council, and leader of the LibDem Group on the County Council. David was cheered by his audience when he announced that Eastbourne had just been named 'Council of the Year' across the whole of the South East. He also told his audience that the Council had built a close working partnership with local business leaders to create jobs and growth.
Afterwards Cllr Kathryn Field said "It just shows what can be done if Councillors, Officers, and business leaders all pull in the same direction and invest in genuine regeneration rather than vanity projects. They are an object lesson for us here in Rother."
