A Liberal Democrat Mayor for Bexhill

Cllr Stuart Wood, recently re-elected along with his colleague, Cllr Frances Winterborn, to represent Bexhill Old Town Ward on Rother District Council is Bexhill's new mayor.

This is the first time ever that Bexhill Charter Trustees have elected a Liberal Democrat to serve as Mayor.
Nominating Cllr Wood, Cllr Winterborn reminded those present, Councillors, and guests of his long record of service to the town, particularly with the Horticultural Society.
In his acceptance speech the new mayor thanked the Charter Trustees and outlined his hopes to make the town more accessible to the disabled as a result of his charitable efforts during the year. He welcomed mouth and foot artist, Tom Yendell who has agreed to help with this project
